On the Job: Merion Mercy

This spring I was lucky enough to partner with Merion Mercy Academy, an all girls college preparatory high school in Merion, PA. I was excited to visit the school, since I knew a lot of alumnae and had always heard such wonderful things about it. The MMA marketing team was looking for a mix of candid shots in classrooms and some lifestyle photos with student models. This meant we needed a well-planned schedule that still allowed for spontaneity and creativity.

Our day was jam packed and tightly scheduled, but we made sure to build in some wiggle room to ensure we could capture the true essence of the school without feeling rushed. The team at Merion Mercy was fantastic – they prepped the student models and teachers about our timing and locations, and we got pre-approval to interrupt some of the classrooms for some great candid moments. This collaboration made the entire experience seamless and stress-free – and we made some really fantastic images. I can’t wait to see how the Merion team uses the photos to create an extension of their school community online.
