On the Job: Villanova School of Business

I think a lot of us can agree that COVID created some kind of time warp where 2020 feels both like a lifetime ago and somehow also like it was just yesterday. In the evolving education landscape, classroom images can quickly become outdated and when VSB reached out to update their mask-free image gallery for the first time since pre-COVID I was pretty excited to jump into the classroom and get to work.

Before diving into the classrooms, I collaborated closely with VSB’s marketing team to outline the objectives and vision for the updated images. We worked out a two-day schedule that allowed us to dip in and out of classrooms without disrupting ongoing lessons in order to capture authentic, active learning.

Once the planning was complete, it was time to get snapping. Each classroom presented a unique opportunity to capture a variety of learning experiences. My photojournalism heart loves capturing candid moments. The interaction between students and teachers, students with their classmates, and the VSB community working together – I get to make images that truly show off the school’s personality.

In a world where digitalization often overshadows authentic connections, these photographs serve as tangible reminders of the shared experiences that define and shape each student's educational journey.
